Championship Style Culture - Changing Your Office Culture for the Good

I believe that the great organizations – doesn't matter what realm they exist in – understand clearly what they stand for and what the governing principles are. For the champions in life it isn't what they do that is important; it's how they do what they do that really matters. A clearly defined culture that is "announced" for the entire team to grasp and relate to creates the clarity of the "How."

I believe strongly that there has to be a "How We Roll" element tied into the process and into the pursuit of success and of the necessary bottom line numbers that indicate to everyone that winning is happening. It's all about culture. My coaching will help you:

  • Understand how to create a culture that actually inspires your people to want to dig deep, work hard and help the organization become what it's capable of becoming.

  • See more clearly the power of visual management

  • Focus on the need for a team langugae and how to create it

  • Design the most impactful and contemporary Mission Statement or Purpose Statement and have it become a tool that energizes employees, recruits and customers/clients

  • Align all communication, one-to-one meetings, team meetings, curbside coaching, etc with the quest that your organization has chosen for itself.

It's all about creating a Championship Style Culture (CSC)

Culture

Words below found at www.dictionary.com

Culture - The predominating attitudes and behavior that characterize the functioning of a group or organization

Culture - The sum of attitudes, customs, and beliefs that distinguishes one group of people from another

Culture - The integrated pattern of human behavior that includes thought, speech, action, and artifacts and depends upon the human capacity for learning and transmitting knowledge to succeeding generations (Culture is transmitted, through language, material objects, ritual, institutions, and art, from one generation to the next.)

Activating the Culture

The Principles of a Championship Style Culture (CSC) will be shared:

  • Mental Toughness and Character Toughness
  • Ownership Spirit
  • Pro Style Attitudes
  • Everyone Leads – Everyone Learns
  • We are in "Agreement"

My coaching will help you "see" how to, and be energized by the chance to, align all of your coaching with the defined and announced (CSC)

  • Creating a Purpose/Mission Statement
  • Announcing the Vision and Creating the Campaign
  • Activating the Vision through Intentional Language
  • Team Meetings and One-to-one Meetings
  • Ongoing Coaching Conversations

Foundations of the Training

My involvement in your organization will provide answers to the following questions – a pathway will be carved out that will ignite the clarity that connects to the answers.

  1. Given the fact that we want anyone that spends time on our team to become the consummate "Pro" in whatever they do with their lives, what are we going to do today about creating an experience that will fully equip them to do just that?
  1. How do we build and sustain something uncommon?
  1. Can you create habits, behaviors and attitudes in your people that will carry them to successful performances in the work that they do and in the lives that they lead?
  1. How do we get good at paying attention to what actually matters the most in any given situation?
  1. How do we create a "thought style" that connects our people to the "Spirit of Ownership and Significance" that not only bonds them but energizes them? How will we keep them on point in their quest to "Be a Great Teammate?"
  1. Can a culture inspire the people involved to want to win and more importantly to want to pay the price to win?
  1. How does the announced pursuit of a CSC actually strengthen the voice of the leadership staff and of the team itself?
  1. How will the CSC and all that it stands for improve the conditions for success? (Any team at any level, no matter how well they are already doing can think about this concept.)
  1. What is the process to being certain that the CSC and all that it stands for will never be a secret? (Putting the quest of the project out in the open for all to see is of the utmost.)
  1. How is it that a CSC actually makes the work – even the tough work – feel more fun and more energizing to the team and to the leaders?

Cool Results

Because of your work to create and sustain a Championship Style Culture (CSC) and the desire you have to become the best coach you are capable of being today you will achieve the feeling of satisfaction that you have a group of "players" on your team that want to:

    1. Grow and develop their capacity to excel at work and in all that they do.
    2. Feel the triumph of the win that is demonstrated in bottom line numbers.
    3. Be a great teammate to the people around them.

It's amazing when you've achieved the following:

    1. No "player" is ever hired because we need another "player." Everyone that gets hired is seen as a great fit to help carry on the quest. It's a reward to be a part of what has been created.
    1. All team members – "players" and leaders – are in Agreement. They care about "How We Roll" and they show it.
    1. There is a culture within the Championship Style Culture (CSC) that is a culture of gratitude. We have good attitudes about life.
    1. High levels of "conditions for success" have been created and all team members feel a sense of Ownership for those "conditions."
    1. There is an identity. Everyone involved can clearly "see" what the team stands for and how they relate to the texture of "How We Roll."

Picture This

If asked about the environment that the team works within everyone says that it's healthy and that it encourages the chance to be productive and triumphant.

  • Stories are told and stories are being created. The "players" take pride in the stories
  • "Players" feel the existence of honor inside of themselves and in their teammates.
  • Everyone has confidence to be genuine.

The capacity to gather around good ideas and make them happen is at high levels
